Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocus Nucifera) is defined as oil obtained from fresh and mature coconuts by mechanical and natural means, without using heat, chemicals, bleaching agents and odors that do not change the natural content of the oil.

Therefore, the composition of virgin coconut oil (VCO) is preserved. The main contributor to the compound’s bioactive content is the medium chain fatty acid, namely lauric acid.
